So many questions about alien: covenant. The general consensus seems to be that 1) David found the Engineer homeworld and destroyed their entire race, and 2) David created the Xenomorphs, but all the evidence points away from those and I just don't know what to believe anymore. While the two moons may have originally featured similar climates, by the time they are visited in the films, LV-223 is covered by a lush jungle filled with endemic life, most likely due to the Engineers’ actions there. The 6 films, Prometheus, Covenant, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Resurrection are all considered canon as are all the different versions of the first 4 films. Alien Isolation is 100% canon too.
